Pulling a shot of espresso requires users and consumers to be fully immersed in the process and integrate it into their daily lifestyle. The repetitive motion of tamping can induce strain into the wrist, causing the experience to be not enjoyable.

With the rise of newer home baristas, the products needed to draw a shot of espresso needs to be innovated to :
1. Help new consumers that want to start their home barista lifestyle, but does not know
which tools to start buying.
2. Improve user-experience by tackling physical issues baristas encounter daily.
Professional Baristas participated in an online survey to determine which tools they were most frequently using day to day. It targeted their usage both at work and, for those which applies, at home.
The goal was to narrow down at most three tools that professional baristas would consider essential in a daily espresso brewing process.
100% of all those that were surveyed agree that a Tamper is the most important and mandatory tool to use. Another tool that many have recommended was a good distributing tool, whether it may be a Weiss Distribution Tool, a Cylindric Distributor, or a Puck Screen to distribute water.
Using this data, the essential tools were narrowed down to:
